Boring charity game

Watching the bus on the Desert Bus for Hope website is amazingly addictive. For greatest pleasure, I would suggest watching both the bus and driver feeds simultaneously.

An interesting sweet beverage

For people with access to espresso machines, I have something new for you to try. I was feeling experimental tonight and got the idea to try putting cocoa powder into the expresso machine. When I say cocoa powder, I mean baking cocoa, as in, ground cocoa seeds with the cocoa butter removed. It worked, as I expected, and produced a thick brown liquid similar to espresso in appearance. Also, as I expected, it was a little lacking in flavor; so I added a tablespoon of milk and a tablespoon of honey. It’s pretty tasty, I have to say. Anyway, I’ll probably experiment and see if it can be made better.

Okay, Mr. King, you’ve redeemed yourself a bit on this one. Yeah, I know you weren’t directly responsible for the screenplay, but it was still a fantastic movie—one that I probably should have spent the extra money to see in the theater too. That’s just water under the bridge. I suppose John Cusack and Samuel Jackson helped too. I may have to add this one to my collection; good horror is indeed hard to find.

Road bump music

The Japanese have turned the road bump vibration signal thing into a music making idea! It’s called the Melody Road, and it’s the best crazy invention ever.

Ridiculously bad games

I love that people appreciate truly bad art for its utter shoddiness. Case in point, this semi-educational DS title which is supposed to teach kids Spanish. It doesn’t really teach Spanish very well, but it does have lots of drug-running references, accepting rides from strangers, and talking bulls who have accepted their fate of dying in a bull-fighting ring. Happily, it got a 2 out of 10 from the reviewer, as no legitimate critic could give this game a good rating; but upon closer examination, it almost received a perfect score from the readers. Classic.

By the way, the curious can go to Kotaku to watch a bunch of cut-scene videos from the game to see just how wacky this game is.
