It’s pretty funny that a story about a woman washing a keyboard in a dishwasher is somehow news this morning. Though, this USB keyboard that she washes is a wee bit more complicated than our tough old Logitech PS/2 keyboards. (Bandon, remember those dirty keyboards we got from Sierra?) All we had to do was unscrew them and remove the key membrane, which was conveniently attached to the connector. The key caps were pretty firmly secured to the top end, so there was no need to remove them. Ah, memories.

Arg. Yet another anouncement for the songs that are going to be in the 80’s Guitar Hero encore, but still no sign of Dire Straits! Am I the only one who wants this song? Ah well, it should still be a cool game.

I knew the Wii would be worth the purchase; I just never knew it would be a good investment too.

I’m not sure if it’s because of the new transformers movie that’s coming out next month, or what; but I was thinking about transformers today, and the evil Optimus Prime story that I swear was in the original cartoon, but that nobody believes me about. So, I decided to do some digging and find the facts.

In the beginning, my searches came up with Nemesis Prime, which I vaguely remembered, but the descriptions didn’t fit with the specific memory I had. This thought led ultimately to a search for Optimus’s resurrection, to see if there was any record of that; since even people who argue with me about evil Optimus agree that he died at some point in the series. That came up with this wiki entry, but still I was unsatisfied; however, at the bottom of this entry was a reference to a “zombified Optimus Prime” in the episode “Dark Awakening” from season three—part of the return of Optimus story line.

I searched for a proper synopsis of “Dark Awakening”, and came up with something better: the entire episode in web-viewable form. So check it out. As you can see, the part in the mausoleum that I swear I remembered, and evil Optimus attacking the autobots. Admittedly, he wasn’t totally evil—he was struggling with his memories of being good—but this is my story finally proved.
