Horrible GH3 song

For anyone out there trying to beat that wretched Slipknot song in Guitar Hero 3 on expert, here’s how you do it:  forget about hitting all the two note progressions in the bridge section.  Save up star power for that section, and concentrate on the red-blue chords.  They are the majority of the chords in this section, so it will only be a slow progression down into the red.  About half-way through, depending on how low you are, use the star power to finish out the bridge.  The rest of the song is easy to finish out after that, especially since you’ve saved your fingers from the bridge.  Huzzah; no more Slipknot for me.

It’s good. See: even Yahtzee likes it, in spite of his crankiness.

Watching the bus on the Desert Bus for Hope website is amazingly addictive. For greatest pleasure, I would suggest watching both the bus and driver feeds simultaneously.

An interesting sweet beverage

For people with access to espresso machines, I have something new for you to try. I was feeling experimental tonight and got the idea to try putting cocoa powder into the expresso machine. When I say cocoa powder, I mean baking cocoa, as in, ground cocoa seeds with the cocoa butter removed. It worked, as I expected, and produced a thick brown liquid similar to espresso in appearance. Also, as I expected, it was a little lacking in flavor; so I added a tablespoon of milk and a tablespoon of honey. It’s pretty tasty, I have to say. Anyway, I’ll probably experiment and see if it can be made better.

Okay, Mr. King, you’ve redeemed yourself a bit on this one. Yeah, I know you weren’t directly responsible for the screenplay, but it was still a fantastic movie—one that I probably should have spent the extra money to see in the theater too. That’s just water under the bridge. I suppose John Cusack and Samuel Jackson helped too. I may have to add this one to my collection; good horror is indeed hard to find.
